Tuesday, December 13, 2011 BR takes celebrating the holiday to a new level — the garage!
Last week, I attended my very first (of hopefully many) holiday party at Bader Rutter. During the weeks leading up to this long-awaited event, stories of parties-past swirled throughout the halls and offices. Needless to say, the anticipation was killing me.
If the holiday decorations were any indication of the fun ahead, I was in for the night of my life.

When the work day came to a close, party-goers huddled around tables of delicious treats like spicy chicken nuggets, bruschetta and chocolate fondue to dip Rice Krispie treats, cheesecake and strawberries. One of our talented associates even brought in some of his very own home brew.
After snacking, we all headed down to the lower level for a garage party — yes, Bader Rutter is growing so much that the only place that could contain us all was the underground parking structure! Anniversary service award presentations kicked off the event, followed by announcing the decorating award winners and giving away some of the gifts featured in this year’s holiday card.

The rest of the night was spent dancing, singing and having a good ol’ time. Now, you can gather a group of people, play music and pass out beer, and everyone is bound to have fun. But this was more than just a bunch of people pouring a few drinks. This was our company culture coming alive.
The party was about celebrating a great year and letting our hair down. It was about kicking back with the people we truly enjoy working with every day. And that’s why, instead of standing around attempting to make conversation with a new associate, we were singing our lungs out or doing the Cupid Shuffle together. How cool is that?
