Bader Rutter goes red for heart health

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, it seems fitting that February is American Heart Month, a time when the American Heart Association and its volunteers work to raise awareness of cardiovascular disease. One of the many ways to recognize American Heart Month is National Wear Red Day, a day set aside to educate women about heart disease, which is their No. 1 killer.

Individuals — and businesses — around the country united to observe this day to raise awareness of the fight against heart disease, and Bader Rutter was no exception. The Bader Rutter Spirit and Wellness Teams encouraged Bader Rutter employees to add a splash of red to their wardrobes on Friday. Dozens of employees joined in with every shade of red imaginable.

Along with the American Heart Association, GoRedForWomen is a great resource for information about heart health. Both sites offer tips, risk assessments and other information on how both men and women can improve their heart health.

As you prepare this year to celebrate Valentine’s Day with your significant other — or even your fellow single friends — take a minute to think about what healthy steps you can take to ensure you’re around to celebrate many more Valentine’s Days.
