Monday, January 4, 2010 World Change 2010: A simple approach
In lieu of New Year’s resolutions, we surveyed the agency to see what changes our associates would like to see in 2010 to make the world a better place. Yes, we’d all like to see our troops come home, peace in the Middle East and lower taxes. However, a few associates didn’t have such lofty goals in mind. They took more of a … realistic approach.
Top Ten Things BR Associates Would Change in 2010
- Stop telling that (insert celebrity name here) joke.
- Fewer complaints disguised as Facebook or Twitter status updates.
- Limit the number of acronyms in any communication — we’ll call this program SWIM (Say What It Means).
- More silly hats — it’s hard to be mean to someone in a silly hat.
- Replace reality television for one week with re-runs of Julia Child’s The French Chef. (The world would be better if everyone approached life as Julia approached food — fearlessly and with real enjoyment.)
- And end to emoticons!
- Merge the WWF and Cirque Du Soleil and see what happens. Something for everyone!
- Fine rude people, decrease the national debt!
- Teach everyone to make a decent martini.
- Brett Favre who?
